Empower Korea 2025

80년 전, 한반도는 분단되었습니다. 동서독과는 달리, 한반도의 분단은 전쟁과 유혈 사태로 얼룩졌고, 그 과정에서 80만 명의 군인과 150만 명의 민간인이 희생되었습니다. 2025년은 한국전쟁 발발 75주년이 되는 해이지만, 남과 북의 전쟁은 아직 진행 중 입니다. 이러한 가운데, Empower Korea 2025의 주제를 “예수, 우리의 화해와 평화”로 정하였습니다.
“많은 지체, 한 몸”(Many Parts, One Body)이라는 주제로 진행된 Empower Korea 2023 컨퍼런스는 Reah International이 처음으로 한국 교회와 같이 이중언어(영어/한국어)로 주최한 컨퍼런스였으며, 북한에 대한 마음을 가진 25개국의 대표들이 참석 했습니다. 세계 각지의 그리스도인들과 한국 교회가 연결되어 북한 사역에 대한 고민을 나누고, 다양한 지체들이 그리스도 안에서 한 몸인 것에 대한 의미를 깊이 경험하는 시간이었습니다.
10월에 열리는 Empower Korea 2025는 몸의 머리되신 그리스도께 초점을 맞춥니다. 그리스도는 우리에게 화해와 평화의 길을 보여주십니다. 골로새서 1장 18-20절에 다음과 같이 기록되어 있습니다:
“그는 몸인 교회의 머리시라 그가 근본이시요 죽은 자들 가운데서 먼저 나신 이시니 이는 친히 만물의 으뜸이 되려 하심이요 아버지께서는 모든 충만으로 예수 안에 거하게 하시고 그의 십자가의 피로 화평을 이루사 만물 곧 땅에 있는 것들이나 하늘에 있는 것들이 그로 말미암아 자기와 화목하게 되기를 기뻐하심이라.”
Empower Korea 2025에서는 전체 집회, 워크숍, 트랙 세션, 소모임을 통해 예수님이 십자가에서 이루신 화해와 평화가 우리 마음, 관계, 일터, 교회, 사역, 국가, 그리고 세상 속의 분열에 어떤 파장을 일으키는지를 배우고자 합니다.
2025년 10월 1 ~ 3일, 서울에서 예수님의 화해와 평화에 집중하며 함께 예배하길 원합니다.

Eighty years ago, Korea was split in two. And unlike East and West Germany, the divide in Korea was marked with war and bloodshed, resulting in 800,000 military deaths and 1.5 million civilian deaths. 2025 also marks the 75th year of the Korean conflict remaining unresolved — the two Koreas are still technically at war. It is in this context that Empower Korea 2025 focuses on “Jesus: Our Reconciliation and Peace” as our conference theme.
The fruit of Empower 2023 was reflected in the theme “Many Parts, One Body.” It was Reah’s first fully-bilingual (English/Korean) conference, hosted by South Korean churches. Representatives from 25 nations who have a heart for North Korea gathered together, including many people with experience living and working in North Korea or who are preparing to go. Empower 2023 bridged Christians from around the world with South Korean churches to consider NK engagement and the power of having many parts come together as One Body in Christ.
The second of three conferences in Korea, Empower 2025 now focuses on the head of the Body — Christ who shows us His way of reconciliation and peace. (Colossians 1:18-20) At Empower Korea 2025, through plenary, workshop and track sessions, we will seek to learn from Jesus and the ripple effects of His reconciliation and making peace on the cross, upon the divisions that exist in our hearts, our relationships, our work, our churches, our ministries, our nations, and our world.
Join us Oct. 1-3, 2025 in Seoul, Korea, as we fix our eyes upon and worship Jesus: Our Reconciliation and Peace.
