Empower 2007 was very successful with almost 500 people in attendance. Empower 2008 is in full-swing with an anticipated attendance of 700 to 1000 people from over ten countries including Australia, Canada, China, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Thailand, US, and UK. Last year we had eight teams from six different churches visit NE China and DPRK. We had three people join the field last year and this year we are anticipating another four people in long-term work. There are now three Reah teams working or in formation in Toronto, New York, and D.C. Moreover, the different committees are busy assisting with projects and providing needed funding.
These are amazing accomplishments considering that we only have two staffs. Largely these results are the work of committed volunteers that Reah has the privilege of working with.
The following are some of the positions that need to be filled:
1. Director of Empower Conferences and Forums: oversee and direct the Empower Conferences and Forums scheduled from 2009 to 2012.
2. Short-term team coordinator: coordinate short-term teams for Serve Asia and others that Reah partners with.
3. General Manager: oversee the working committees as well as assist the Executive Director in managing Reah Interanational
4. Office Manager/book keeper: Give office support to the Reah staffs
